The chemical and pharmaceutical industries always use mixers with a “Y” format, when the matter is mixing powders.<br />

In most cases these mixers are made of stainless steel, glass or ceramics, which is the best way to mix powder. In this process, at each turn of the mixer, the pharmaceutical material that is being mixed is separated into two parts and returns crossing.<br />
For pharmacies,this system never had good results, because of small quantities of salts or several different formulations at the same time.<br />

It is a system of mixing powder which joins a “Y” shaped mixture commonly used in the chemical industry with a high-frequency vibrator.<br />
Its capsule in the “Y” format is made of disposable PET material, the least toxic of all plastics, and can directly be used as receiving for weighing on the scale, turning weighing process easier. The capacity of each capsule is 250 cm3 (around 8.45 oz).<br />

A high-frequency vibration system makes the particles hit each other, improving the mixture and prevents the sticking of the powder in the capsule during the process due to the static electricity generated by the friction.<br />
<br />
A digital electronic system allows the adjustment of the parameters like: mixing time from 0 to 10 minutes intensity of the vibration and speed of the rotation. Tests made by ORTOFARMA(A brazilian quality assurance company) prove the effectiveness of dilution of 1:100 in 2 minutes, for up to 3 different formulations. These tests were done without using grinder balls.<br />
